OUR PROCESS IS UNIQUE

StoneFire is always striving for innovation, different product offers and leading-edge equipment that sets us apart from our competition. Our greatest creation is our (PCU) Pre-Constructed Units, which allows us to deliver a quick turnaround for our customers.

By creating our own products, which we have a patent on, has enabled us to streamline the building process, enhance quality control and minimize disruption in our customers daily lives. The efficiency of installing structures like our fireplaces in just a few days is a huge selling point!

Instead of spending weeks in a backyard building these structures out of cinder blocks and doing the stone work on site, we will build them ahead of time in our shop which is a controlled environment and deliver them 95% complete to the site.

INSTALLATION

With the proper equipment, once the job site area has been prepped and footings for the actual units are done we will deliver and install the units. Our masons will then finish buttoning up on site.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Giuseppe Ventriglia, or Joe as many call him, always had a passion for stonework, having been part of a family business which originated in Italy. After a successful career in high technology, Joe’s part-time masonry work became a full-time business.

In 2001, Joe Created Terrascaping and Construction to create beautiful outdoor living spaces around Westborough, Boston and Metrowest area. It grew to include dedicated teams of expert designers, masons, landscapers, project managers and support staff with a year-round fabrication facility, warehouse, and office space. In 2011 Joe hired Dennis DePierri that later became his business partner. During this time using their unique skills and techniques learned in the industry, and with their team they perfected a proprietary method of fabricating high end pre-constructed masonry fireplaces, firepits, bars, wood burning ovens and seating walls which can be customized to order. The result is better value, consistency, quality, and quick delivery with minimal disruption and time on-site.

In 2013, as the Outdoor Living masonry business grew, Stonefire by Design was added, a retail showroom on Route 9 East in Westborough. With multiple functioning Outdoor Living spaces using their pre-constructed products as well as various natural and man-made hardscape and accessories. The showroom serves as an inspiration center for both homeowners and landscape designers who can stroll through and experience examples of fully functional, finished Outdoor Living spaces, fine tuning their selections of stone finishes, pavers, and accessories to match their property, taste and budget.

In 2017, with the growth of the StoneFire brand and the focus on the overall Outdoor Living experience, they combined Terrascaping and Stonefire into Stonefire Outdoor Living to reflect the mission of the company to bring timeless outdoor living spaces and experiences to life.

TRANSITIONING TO NEW OWNERSHIP

StoneFire Outdoor Living and StoneFire Core, esteemed providers of outdoor living solutions and manufacturers of premium outdoor fireplaces, proudly announce a significant transition in ownership. Founder and longtime owner, Giuseppe Ventriglia, affectionately known as Joe, is passing the torch to his dedicated business partner, Dennis DePierri, and his wife, Stephanie DePierri, a long standing employee of StoneFire.

Joe Ventriglia's journey in the masonry and outdoor living industry is a testament to perseverance, craftsmanship, and community engagement. Born and raised in Italy, Joe moved to the United States at the age of 15, where he cultivated his passion for masonry. Over the years, Joe established himself as a prominent figure in Westborough and surrounding towns, building his business, StoneFire Outdoor Living, on a foundation of integrity and unparalleled workmanship.

In the 1980s, Joe embarked on his entrepreneurial journey with 'Joe's Masonry,' which evolved into 'Terrascaping and Construction' in 2001. His dedication to excellence and innovation led to the establishment of 'StoneFire by Design' in 2012 and the subsequent merger of both companies into 'StoneFire Outdoor Living' in 2017. Throughout his career, Joe's hands-on approach, coupled with his commitment to quality, has left an indelible mark on countless landscapes and communities.

Dennis DePierri, a graduate of the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMass Amherst, joined forces with Joe after meeting him on a collaborative project. Dennis's expertise in landscape contracting and design complemented Joe's mastery of masonry, laying the groundwork for a fruitful partnership. His mechanical skills and innovative spirit were instrumental in the development of StoneFire's signature Pre-Constructed Units (PCU), paving the way for the establishment of StoneFire Core in 2019.

Stephanie DePierri, born and raised in Brazil, found her calling at StoneFire through a serendipitous encounter with Joe. From humble beginnings as Joe's tenant to becoming the cornerstone of the company's operations, Stephanie's journey exemplifies dedication and adaptability. Her multifaceted role encompassed various responsibilities, from his first office employee to showroom management and sales, underscoring her invaluable contributions to the organization.

The transition in ownership marks a new chapter for StoneFire Outdoor, symbolizing continuity and a shared vision for the future. Dennis and Stephanie's unwavering commitment to Joe's legacy and the company's core values ensures a seamless transition and continued excellence in outdoor living solutions.

Joe Ventriglia will remain an integral part of the StoneFire family, serving as a mentor and member of the sales team in the years to come. His passion for the craft and steadfast dedication to customer satisfaction will continue to inspire future generations of outdoor living enthusiasts.
